Why is there a higher margin on palladium and platinum?
Palladium and platinum are both rare precious metal. They are produced in much smaller quantities than gold for example. Because of these low volumes, their extraction and production costs are also higher.
The rarer a metal is, the higher its margin usually is.
Also, with higher financing prices due to lower demand and higher price volatility than gold, storing platinum and palladium will cost us more than keeping gold in stock for example.
